So in August 2016 we decided to enter our beautiful boutique into The Wedding Industry Awards for 2017.

Having never entered any awards before I was unsure what to expect but filled in the necessary question and answer sections. It was then left to our brides who had actually used our services to vote for us – so all based on real life experiences.

We attended the Regional awards at The stunning Rockliffe Hall on a rainy night in November and literally fell off our seats in shock that we had won our regional award.

This meant that we were national finalists in our category – Best Bridal Retailer.

Our tickets arrived and we were like excited children travelling to London to meet all such wonderful wedding suppliers right across the county.

We had such an amazing night and although we didn’t win the national award we were very proud to have even had the chance to represent the North East and Yorkshire.  The Bridal Boutique that won deserved it so very much and we were thrilled for them.

What has been the most touching part is being able to finally see our voter comments that took us through to the finals.

Thank you thank you thank you to each and every one of our beautiful brides that took the time to vote and leave comments – we are so very touched.  We love what we do with a passion and it was an absolute pleasure to help you all.  Here are just a few of our wonderful comments:

“Exceptional service – every fitting and appointment was perfect and Joy and her team made me feel very special. It felt like they were happy to find time for any question and to accommodate any fitting. The dress was perfect – the seamstress Carol is incredible as my dress was complicated to adjust to get it down to the perfect size – Carol did this first time without the need for any additional alterations.” Mrs Stacey Gray Steward (Gray)

“I honestly cannot recommend Joy and all of the girls at Mia Spopsa enough! Upon walking through the doors of this beautiful boutique I was greeted by a warm and friendly smile, and this service continued throughout each and every visit. The sheer range of beautiful dresses is outstanding, I forbid anyone to not be able to find their dream dress here! A special shout out to Carol who helped me pick my beautiful gown, such a lovely lady making the whole experience that little bit more special.” Mrs Dionne Wilkinson (Sanders

“The best bridal experience. I was helped by Claire and she got exactly the tone I wanted. Helpful, supportive and good fun but honest as well. The staff are helpful and not all
consuming unlike some of the full on bridal shops I tried. The dress I bought was the 2nd I ever tried on. There was no hard sell. They understood I wasn’t sure as I hadn’t been elsewhere but gave me all the details I needed to take away. I tried 4 more shops but went back and knew instantly it was the perfect one.” Mrs Nicola Hughes (Redhead)
“The whole experience with Mia Sposa was fantastic. The shop in Newcastle is beautiful, I found my dream dress within an hour of being in the store, the staff were experienced and welcoming. I would recommend Mia sposa to anyone looking for a spectacular dress for their special day.” Mrs Shelley Mcphee
“Lovely people, lovely shop. Helped me feel a million dollars in my dream dress.” Mrs Kristie Coing (Kinghorn)

“Absolutely first class service from a first class bridal boutique. All the girls were so friendly and nothing was too much to ask. Very personalised service and I was made to feel very welcome….as did my mam, gran and grandad! They truly have a unique touch and every last detail is covered to ensure your dress is exactly to your requirements. Highly recommended!” Mrs Lucinda Douglas (Ramshaw)
“I visited many bridal shops in Newcastle searching for my wedding dress and I found Mia Sposa’s to be the best by far! Not only how breathtaking the actual boutique itself was, and the range of gorgeous dresses available but also the high standard of customer service we (myself, mother, mother-in-law & bridesmaids) received. I found my dress at Mia Sposa’s and was there on numerous occasions and there was simply nothing they couldn’t or wouldn’t do for us! I always felt very much the bride-to-be” Mrs Lucy Trotter (Willis)
