General Aftercare Inforamtion

  • As soon as your request for an appointment has been received and confirmed our modern online customer management software helps us take care of you. We send out SMS text messages and email notifications to our brides reminding them of when their bridal appointments are.
    The software also ensures that all ordering and other vital aftercare tasks are carried out giving our brides piece of mind and keeping you up to date on journey with us.

Bridal Information

Ordering and Delivery

The order is only placed with the supplier once half of the total amount has been paid. Please note the remaining balance is due within 60 working days. Delivery for Bridal Gowns can take between 6 and 8 months. We would like to take the opportunity to remind customers at this point we are in the hands of the manufacturer for shipment. However we will contact you as soon as the dress arrives.
WE CAN NOT ALLOW YOU TO TRY YOUR OWN DRESS ON A SATURDAY OR SUNDAY BEFORE TAKING IT AWAY.
If you have chosen to pay the £100 deposit please note this does not place the order for your dress. If for any reason you choose to cancel this order the £100 is Non-refundable or transferable.
We will require you to make regular agreed monthly payments after the £100 has been paid by standing order. This can be agreed and added to your personal order.

Bridal Dress Sizing

The size of the dress ordered will be decided by gaining measurements of your bust waist and hips. With these we check each designer’s individual size chart and order the size to fit the biggest part of your body. By doing so this may mean the dress is too big on other places. However there is an alteration service available to you to make the dress fit perfect. (Please see Alterations section for prices.) Please note we cannot take responsibly for weight loss/ gain and or pregnancies. If you choose to go against our advice and order an alternate size we ask you sign for this and put the responsibility of fit into your hands. Any further alterations or charges are to be paid by the individual.

Bridal Accessories

As you may be aware we have a wide range of accessories such as  Tiaras, Veils, Belts and Underskirts. Once you have chosen Your dress we would love for you to then book a Styling Appointment. This can be done Monday – Friday (no weekend availability) and an appointment is required to be booked. Here we can spend more time finishing your look and offering advice. This also allows time for accessories to be ordered as these may take up to 8 weeks in some circumstances and 5 months for some of our belts.
The full amount of the accessory is to be paid to place the order.

Alterations

Ideally we ask you leave the alteration 4-6 weeks before the wedding and that you bring your chosen shoes and underwear to every fitting. A minimum of two are required. Our fitting appointments are usually half an hour which allows time for your dress to be pinned. Our alteration days are Tuesday’s and Thursday’s Thursday nights are always popular and we have very limited availability. Our last fitting appointment on Thursdays is 5pm. We cannot guarantee that these times will be available. We do not make bookings until the dresses have arrived into our store. The alterations are chargeable are considered an optional service. This includes storage of your dress up until the date you wish to collect.
If for any reason you wish to try your own dress on before the alteration are due to take place we ask you make this for a week day in order to provide the correct protection for your dress.
Under No Circumstances are alterations, fitting or own dress try on’s taken place on a Saturdays or Sundays.

If you decided to take your dress elsewhere for alterations please contact Mia Sposa Newcastle and arrange collection once your dress has arrived.

Aftercare

Dry Cleaning Service Available
Once your wedding has passed and you wish to have your dress dry cleaned we highly recommend Dulais Specialist Dry Cleaners based in Ponteland. We will supply information in your dress regarding this when you come to collect it. With this they also offer a 10% off your wedding dress box – which can also be arranged with them. Delivery for bridesmaid dress can take between 18-20 weeks. We would like to take the opportunity to remind customers at this point we are in the hands of the manufacturer for shipment. However we will contact the person in charge of the order as soon as the dress arrives.
